The Program Committee oversees new program development, as well as monitors and assess existing programs. They initiate and guide program evaluations based on how well the program fits within the Mission and Strategic Plan of the organization.
The Garden Committee has the specific task of overseeing the Peterson Community Garden project. They will create a vision and design plan for the garden, as well as manage the overall maintenance of the space. This committee is not responsible for the all of the physical maintenance but will facilitate the scheduling.
The Planning Committee for the Great Hutto Cleanup is responsible for planning and executing the annual event each spring. They will have their own budget, marketing, fundraising, and volunteer recruitment. Regular reports and financial statements must be reported to the full board. This event is part of the organization’s commitment to Keep Texas Beautiful and Keep America Beautiful.
The Community Outreach Committee is responsible for volunteer recruitment and retention, presence at community events, and developing marketing materials, press releases, etc. to promote the functions of the organization. This committee is also responsible for the design and ordering of all physical elements that are purchased to represent the organization and its programs.
The Fundraising Committee is responsible for overseeing the organization's overall fundraising and, in particular, the fundraising done by the board. They monitor fundraising efforts to be sure that ethical practices are in place, that donors are acknowledged appropriately, and that fundraising efforts are cost-effective. Fundraising Committee creates and implements the financial resource plan that will guide the board’s activities in seeking out and securing funding from diverse sources (donor giving, grants, fundraisers, sponsorships). This committee isn't solely responsible for raising money, but it leads the board's fundraising effort.
